The name above all names

"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matt. 1:21

...this verse brought me to tears recently while reading it with Luke during our nightly advent candle tradition. "...He shall save His people from their sins". one simple line. one universe-altering implication.

Thank you Yeshua (Jesus) for coming to this earth as a tiny babe born to a young unwed mother in the lowest circumstances; obediently growing up in a humble carpenter's family; working hard under your earthly father's loving tutelage while daily communing with, listening for, and walking in your Heavenly Father's perfect redeeming plan; ministering for three years to the lost, the broken, and the hurting on this earth; and ultimately giving your life away on that old rugged Cross...perfect blood spilled. sin & death defeated. all for me. for my sins. and for the sins of your people.

my heart swells with hope, gratefulness, tearful worship unto you, My Savior & King.

Merry Christmas! He reigns!!

Lizzy,
Life has been so busy that I just checked your blog and saw the news of your little one! I'm very happy for you and was reading about your desire for a natural water birth and considering a doula. We hired a doula for Devin's birth and it was the best decision we ever made. She is like family now and helped to make the birth so much easier. I was able to deliver completely naturally with the help of a midwife at a local hospital (they actually have a birth center in the hospital, which was great!). I wish you the best and if you have any questions about doulas or delivering naturally, please let me know. It is possible and one of the most amazing things you will ever experience.
Blessings!
Jessica
